About the Author

Reading has always been one of Deborah’s favorite pastimes. There is nothing she enjoys more than to curl up on the couch with a favorite book.
In high school, she discovered a magical place—the school library. Then she became a library assistant and Deborah had found paradise. She even met her best friend and future husband, Rod, in that little library.
After graduating, Deb headed off to college and managed to cram a four-year degree into ten years (that’s what happens when you change colleges three times and switch majors five). She actually dropped out because she couldn’t decide what she wanted to do with her life.
The best decision Deborah made during those years was to marry Rod. With his encouragement, she finished her degree in 1983—a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Georgia.
Since then, Deborah and Rod have migrated from Georgia to Wyoming and finally to Washington, where they have resided for the past three decades. When the sun shines, Washington is absolutely beautiful but Deborah is a born and bred Kentuckian. With each passing day, her longing to go home to Kentucky grows stronger.
As she waits for the right time to make that move, Deborah continues her writing journey. Her books include heartbreak, a little romance, and a lot of life. She looks forward to sharing these stories with you!
